Barry Flast
Interviews, News, Music and Videos
Welcome to the world of Barry Flast…it’s a brave new world, this whole internet thing, and I’m trying to fit in as best I can, so if you’ll take the time, I’m sure you’ll find something of interest for you amongst the pages here;
I started working in the music business as a teenager playing live gigs, and here it is 43 years later, and I’m still slugging it out in bars….but it’s all good !!…my latest band “Dead Ringers” has been a project of mine off and on since 1991, and the latest version features some of the best players I’ve met and worked with since relocating to Eugene Oregon from San Francisco in 2004. The band has made two cd’s, the newest and latest called “Too Dead To Care” was just released (in early 2011) and we’re out supporting the release with live shows all around the west coast (for now).
As for this website, I owe much of what you see to one of my new Oregon friends, the affable Kevin Corson, who initially hired me to host an internet radio show called “Artist Archives” back in 2005, and has been a true friend and major supporter of mine since I arrived in Eugene. For the first few years this site was home to my rock and roll history faire as developed and designed by Kay Sadler, the sister of my late friend Dino Valenti. But time marches on, and new technologies almost demanded the upgrading of the site to keep up with my competition in the music business, so in came Kevin Corson to the rescue, and the results of his efforts are now in front of you.
On the following pages you will be able to learn way more about my history then you could ever want to, but it should also serve as home base for my band Dead Ringers, and will function as their website as well as the home base for my music publishing company, Twin Phoenix Music, wherein my former manager and close friend Ron Umile and I will do all our music publishing business.
Currently I am about ready to release my new CD, you can pre-0rder it at discount though our online-store. Thank you for coming to the site, and I look forward to seeing you at my next live performance.
But enough preamble….please flip ahead to my bio on the history page for the next chapter of my life story, and I hope and pray that you find it as entertaining to read as it was for me to write. PEACE !!
